What is ReliaBill?
ReliaBill spreads your energy costs evenly across the year with direct debit payments from your bank account. You can choose to pay weekly, fortnightly, or monthly, and we’ll review your payments to keep them aligned with your usage.
Getting started
How do I set up ReliaBill?
Live Chat with us and we’ll calculate a payment amount based on your usage and account balance. Once you’re happy, we’ll set up automatic direct debits from your nominated bank account.
Am I eligible for ReliaBill?
ReliaBill is available for electricity to all new and existing Frank Energy customers, provided none of your accounts are in arrears.
Payments & Billing
How are my payments calculated?
We estimate your average energy usage over 12 months and factor in any account balance. If we don’t have enough history, we’ll use the information you provide to estimate your usage.
How and when are payments reviewed?
We review your payments at least once every 12 months, or sooner if they’re not covering your usage. We may adjust your amount to reflect your account balance.
How will I be billed?
You’ll receive a monthly Frank Energy invoice showing your ReliaBill payments as ‘Direct Debit Auto’ line items.
Can I use other payment methods?
ReliaBill is available by direct debit only.
Changes & Adjustments
How will I know if my payments change?
We’ll let you know at least 10 days before any new payment amount takes effect.
Credits & Debits
What if my account is in credit?
It’s normal to build credit during lower-usage months to help cover higher winter bills. If your credit becomes too high, we may reduce your payments. You can also request a refund, which may result in higher future payments
What if my account is in debit?
If your account falls into debit, we may increase your payments and ask you to clear the balance.
Missed or deferred payments
Can I defer a payment?
Yes, contact us at least 2 business days before your payment date. The deferred amount will be spread across your next two payments.
What happens if I miss a payment?
We may cancel your ReliaBill arrangement and will let you know in writing. Late payment or dishonour fees may apply.
Cancelling or updating
Can I cancel a scheduled payment?
No - payments are scheduled to align with your expected usage and can’t be cancelled individually.
How do I cancel ReliaBill?
Contact us at least 2 business days before your next payment. We’ll switch you back to regular monthly billing, and any remaining balance will be applied to your next bill.
How do I update my details or payment frequency?
Let us know at least 2 business days before your next payment so we can update your details.
