Understanding App Activity After Cancellation or Disconnection

When you cancel your power account or request a disconnection with Frank Energy, you might still see your power usage showing in the app for a short time. Don’t worry — here’s why that happens and what it means for your final bill.

Why does the app still show usage after I cancel?

Even after you cancel your power service, the app may continue to show power usage while your final bill is being processed.
Your final reading — taken on your confirmed disconnection or cancellation date — marks the end of any billable usage. Once your final invoice is ready, the app will stop showing activity from your closure date.

Will I be charged for any usage that shows after disconnection?

No. You won’t be charged for any usage that appears in the app after your confirmed disconnection or cancellation date.
Billing stops at the date of your final meter reading, so you’ll only pay for the power you used up to that point.

Why does the app still look active?

Sometimes the app may appear active or display usage while your final invoice is being prepared. This is just the system updating — it doesn’t mean you’re still using or being charged for power.
Once everything’s finalised, your invoice will accurately show usage up to your disconnection date.

What to do next

Here’s what to expect after your service ends:

  • Your final bill usually arrives within a week of your disconnection date.

  • Check that your invoice end date matches your disconnection date.

  • If something doesn’t look right, reach out — we’re happy to help.

In short:
Post-cancellation app activity doesn’t mean new charges — it’s just part of the billing process wrapping up.
